WHY do the BUFFALO cry: “DON’T HAZE ME, BRO!”
Originally in North America tens of millions of wild buffalo roamed freely. Today the numbers are a few thousand. Why are the numbers so low? Why do Montana and the National Park Service continue to kill and haze wild buffalo? What have advocates been doing in the last year to stop this?
Join an informative discussion hosted by Buffalo Allies of Bozeman (BAB) at the Bozeman Public Library, Lg. Conference Room, Wednesday, July 29 from 6:30-8:00 PM. Speakers: Glenn Hockett, Volunteer President of the Gallatin Wildlife Association; Jim Macdonald, formerly a social activist in Washington, D.C, is a founding member of BAB having worked in or around Yellowstone since 1993; and Ellen Figura, a member of BAB, who is an author, artist, and who is enthusiastic about the outdoors and seeing nature live in harmony.

Bozeman Volunteer Day at Buffalo Field Campaign
Buffalo Allies of Bozeman is organizing a caravan of volunteers from our area to car pool down to Buffalo Field Campaign for a volunteer day - which involves volunteer training.
Caravan will meet in the Alberton's Parking Lot at 8:30 AM (over by Staples in the parking lot toward 23rd Ave.). We will be back by the end of the day (by early evening).
If you are interested in coming, please contact Jim Macdonald at jsmacdonald@riseup.net .
Here are some things to keep in mind:
1. You don't need to bring skis or snowshoes if you don't have them.
2. You don't need to know how to ski - they will teach you.
3. You don't need to ski - there are other volunteer opportunities besides going out into the field.
4. Whatever skill you have - even if you don't think it's relevant - is relevant. There are opportunities to help in the kitchen, help with auto repairs, etc.
