Get Involved!

Submitted by admin on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 16:51.

Get involved and stay informed about we in Buffalo Allies of Bozeman are doing!

Here's what you can do.

1. Keep checking back with our Web site. We are constantly updating our events calendar, news releases, meeting notes, etc.

2. For more direct involvement in the group, you'll want to join one or two of our email lists. We have two with different purposes. We have an announcement list, that is moderated and lower in volume, that includes updates related to the group and announcements of events either about the buffalo or friendly to the buffalo. If you have an event to post, you might want to join this list as well. To join the ANNOUNCE list, send a blank email to bab-announce-subscribe@lists.riseup.net.

We also have an unmoderated open discussion list that any list member can post to. That list is for open conversation about the buffalo, coordination of work in the group, sharing newspaper articles and rumors about the buffalo. People can discuss issues related to the buffalo and talk about strategies and tactics. It's open to what people make it and a good opportunity for people to plug in more intimately to our group. To join the DISCUSS list, send a blank email to bab-discuss-subscribe@lists.riseup.net.

3. To stay on top of planning and information that might not be shared electronically, coming to our weekly meetings is an excellent way to stay informed (and get involved). The meetings are every Wednesday (unless otherwise noted) at 7 PM in Montana State University's Strand Union Building (student union) in the 2nd floor cafeteria (in the NW corner). If you can't make the Wednesday meetings, there are also working groups and events to help plan. Keep an eye on the events calendar for more information on events and working groups.
